Tucked into the dense urban fabric of Kanakapura, Bengaluru. This vertical residence designed by Ar. Viswapriya of The Green Cube Studio is a seamless blend of tradition and modernity. The façade—wrapped in perforated metal panels, concrete jaalis, and supported by tactile wooden columns—strikes a delicate balance between privacy and permeability, casting a quiet poetry of light and shadow throughout the day. As you step inside, the home opens up into a welcoming double-height volume where maroon upholstery, gold-toned pendant lights, and elegant marble flooring work together to create a sense of warmth and understated luxury. A beautifully crafted puja zone becomes a spiritual anchor, while culturally rooted details offer glimpses into the family's values. Each space—from bedrooms to common areas—has been thoughtfully planned, with clean lines, abundant storage, and a generous infusion of natural light. As a photographer, what captivated me most was the interplay of textures, the vertical transitions, and how each level revealed its own mood, character, and story. This home isn’t just built for living; it’s built for belonging—a quiet yet confident expression of identity, comfort, and contemporary design in an ever-evolving cityscape.
